Quarantine Day eleventy-neuf-et-zwei. (Look it up)
April 9, 2020: Pandemic Musings
Well. That was a week. I feel like I’ve gone 9 rounds with George Chuvalo - but not in the physical sense. My poor brain. Once used exclusively for meaningless drivel like work, raising a family, driving and navigating to the nearest Tim Hortons, it has now been pressed into work of a far more critical nature. Of course I’m referring to hiding my PJ bottoms and slightly less than spotless office space and wrangling my purple pen away from the puppy, whilst simultaneously acting as moderator on a Zoom business call.
Oh, yeah... and saving my small universe from them damned ‘Corona Pirates.’ By disinfecting and baking tea biscuits. It’s exhaust-ima-cating, I tell ya. But tomorrow is a holiday. A day of rest and reflection. So there shall be ham and mashed... and yes, likely biscuits. And gratitude for our tiny safe spot in the world. We shall communicate virtually with our tribe and enjoy the company. And for one day, the Corona Pirates can go to hell and we will just be happy, loved and well fed.
Happy Easter, fellow babies.
